How to get started with Openserve Prepaid Fibre
Your first package
Openserve Prepaid Fibre has the following package available:
Uncapped 20/10Mbps
Installation bundle includes uncapped Internet for 14 days – Price: R215
When purchasing a once-off installation bundle, you’ll get uncapped fibre internet access with a line speed of 20/10Mbps, valid for 14 days. Your ONT will be installed, and your fibre access will be activated.
How to top up Openserve Prepaid Fibre
You can top up via the Openserve website or the mobile app. After selecting “Buy a bundle”, follow the steps below to purchase a new prepaid bundle.
Your top-up package option:
Uncapped 20/10Mbps
Top-up bundle: 7 days – Price: R105
Re-activation bundle: 7 days – Price: R200
What details do you need to top up?
You need to have your B-number (service number) at hand when topping up. You will find the B-number on the ONT ─ the device Openserve installed.
Should you enter the number and receive a message saying it’s invalid, please contact RSAWEB for support (WhatsApp or call 087 470 000).
Step 1
Enter your B-number in the field provided, complete the Captcha and select “Continue” to proceed. You will be directed to the bundle selection screen where you can browse all the available bundles.
Step 2
Choose your bundle.
Step 3
Confirm and review your chosen bundle.
Step 4
Accept the terms and conditions and select “Buy now” to continue with your bundle purchase.
Step 5
Choose how you would like to receive the one-time PIN ─ via SMS or email. And select “Send OTP”.
Step 6
Enter the OTP received via SMS or email and select “Continue” to be directed to the payment screen.
Step 7
Enter valid payment details and select ”Pay”.
Step 8
Once purchased, the new bundle is activated, and internet connectivity commences.
Step 9
If an existing bundle is already active, the newly purchased bundle is added to pending bundles.
Step10
Click on “View my bundles” to view bundle details, including data usage, time remaining, expiry dates, speeds and pending bundles.
What happens when you don’t use the fibre line?
When you don’t use your fibre line for 90 days, meaning that you don’t top up, it will be deactivated. To reactivate your fibre line, you need to buy a reactivation bundle, valid for 7 days.
