Vuma Reach FAQs

What speeds can I get on Vuma Reach?

Vuma Reach offers download speeds of up to 100Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps. Please note that WiFi performance may be impacted by physical barriers such as thick walls, fish tanks, mirrors, or even pot plants. Additionally, not all devices are equipped to handle high-speed connections. Newer and higher-quality devices like laptops, smartphones, TVs, and gaming consoles are generally better suited to support faster internet speeds.

Which areas are covered by Vuma Reach?

To check if your area is covered by Vuma Reach, please visit our website. You can view the coverage map here. Be sure to check back regularly, as new areas are added as infrastructure expands.

What streaming services can I use with my Vuma Reach Fibre?

Popular options include Netflix, Showmax, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play Movies, DStv Now, and iTunes Movies. For music streaming, you can explore services like Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Deezer, and YouTube playlists. Whatever you’re into, Vuma Reach Fibre has you covered!

Can I resell an RSAWEB Fibre product/service?

Who is Vuma Reach?

Vuma Reach is a division of Vumatel that has been operational since 2018. It offers fast and affordable fibre, helping you stay connected to your digital community and the world. With Vuma Reach, you can stream or download the latest music and movies without worrying about data limits. Stay connected and do it all with Vuma Reach.

Do I need a router or modem?

No, you don’t need a separate router or modem. The Fibre unit, known as the Optical Network Terminal (ONT), comes with a built-in router. This unit is mounted on a wall in your home, allowing you to easily connect up to 10 devices and save on mobile data costs.

What happens if I cancel my Fibre?

Cancelling your Fibre service is straightforward, as Vuma Reach data packages are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. Simply let us know if you’d like to cancel, and we’ll handle the rest. If you’ve set up a recurring payment, please inform us in advance so we can cancel it before the next payment is processed.

Do I need a landline?

No, you don’t need a landline! Fibre works independently, so you’re not tied to a bundled voice line. How cool is that?

How do I make payments for Vuma Reach (Once-off payments)?

Please follow this link for detailed instructions on how to make payments for Vuma Reach. Additionally, you have the option to set up a recurring payment through PayFast.

How do top-ups work?

Vuma Reach prepaid top-ups last for 30 days from activation. A maximum of 6 top-ups can be purchased at a time. Top-ups can be bought at selected EasyPay pay points or via the EasyPay App.

Installation, cabling, and lead times

The installation fee includes cabling up to 30 meters. If your installation requires additional cabling, a site survey will be conducted, after which you will receive a quote from the applicable last-mile provider. Should you choose to proceed, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred. The additional cabling is payable directly to the applicable last-mile provider.
Installation lead times are based on averages and may vary. Vuma Reach’s full terms can be found here.

Activation fees

Activation fees are included with any new installation.

How do downgrades work?

You can apply for a service change (downgrade) at any time during your active service period. The service change will take effect on your next recurring payment date, according to your normal billing cycle.
