VUSA24: RSAWEB Powers Your Ride for a Cause
RSAWEB is proud to announce that it will, for another year, be the connectivity partner for the VUSA24-hour Cycle Challenge. The VUSA Rugby & Learning Academy is an NGO based in the heart of the Langa community, offering a safe haven for primary school children to express themselves through various sports, primarily rugby.Â
The academy also provides after-school tutoring in Maths and English, as well as free meals. Ultimately, VUSA Rugby & Learning Academy aims to foster an environment where young children, from all backgrounds, can develop into well-equipped adults through providing them with access to resources and opportunities via the VUSA partnerships.
RSAWEB has always enjoyed a strong relationship with the Langa community. This includes partnerships with various community-based projects and businesses within Langa, as well as providing free public fibre. Partnering with VUSA Rugby & Learning Academy allows RSAWEB to further expand its presence in the Langa community and bridge the digital divide that exists there, ultimately benefiting and uplifting South Africa’s oldest townshipÂ

What is the VUSA24?
VUSA24 is an annual 24-hour cycling challenge fundraiser. All proceeds benefit VUSA’s incredible work within the Langa community. This yearly Cyclathon brings together people from all walks of life for a fun-filled event.Â
The event’s impact is significant. Last year, 473 people participated, raising over 1 million rand. This year, we anticipate an even larger event with more participants and increased funds for the VUSA Rugby & Learning Academy initiative.Â
The 2024 VUSA24 Cyclathon will take place from 9:00 AM on 24 August until 9:00 AM on 25 August at the Piley Rees rugby ground of Bishops Diocesan College.Â
Come and show your support! Be ready to sweat, laugh, and raise money for a great cause. We’ll be there – will you?Â
