RSAWEB Hardware & Shipping Terms & Conditions

1. Hardware Selection & Delivery

  • Customers are responsible for selecting the correct hardware at sign-up.
  • Only hardware selected at checkout and confirmed via email will be included in the initial delivery.
  • Additional or incorrect hardware ordered separately will incur additional charges, including applicable courier fees.
  • A delivery fee applies to all hardware orders.

Processing & Delivery Time

  • RSAWEB partners with a trusted courier for fast and reliable delivery.
  • Standard delivery times:
    • Local & Main Centres: 1–2 business days
    • Regional/Outlying Areas: 3–5 business days
  • Delivery is available Monday to Friday during business hours and may vary based on stock availability or location.

Tracking & Order Updates

  • Customers receive a confirmation email upon order placement.
  • A courier tracking number is sent via SMS on the next business day.

Collection Option

  • Customers may collect hardware from our Cape Town office with advance notice.
  • Collection must be arranged before the order goes live to ensure preparation.

2. Hardware Payment, Cancellation & Returns

Discounted Hardware Payment & Cancellation

  • If a customer pays upfront for discounted hardware but later cancels their connectivity service, the discounted amount will be billed upon cancellation.

Rental Hardware Returns

  • If a customer cancels their fibre service, they have 10 days after the cancellation effective date to return rental hardware.

Purchased Hardware

  • Hardware purchased outright belongs to the customer and cannot be returned upon service cancellation.
  • Standalone hardware includes a 1-year warranty—if faulty, customers must contact our technical team for assistance.

3. Hardware Warranty & Liability

Warranty Exclusions

RSAWEB’s hardware warranty is void and does not apply in the following cases:

  • Misuse, abuse, accidents, physical damage, improper handling or storage.
  • Exposure to fire, liquids, chemicals, hazardous materials, or extreme conditions.
  • Unauthorized modifications, improper installation, or maintenance by anyone other than RSAWEB.
  • Power-related issues such as damage caused by load-shedding or power surges.
  • Hardware not supplied by RSAWEB.
  • Acts of nature or circumstances beyond RSAWEB’s reasonable control.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers are responsible for safeguarding their hardware against loss, theft, or damage.
  • Damage from power surges or load-shedding is not covered, and customers are liable for full replacement costs.
  • Any loss, theft, or damage must be reported to RSAWEB immediately.
  • Customers are encouraged to include their hardware in household or business insurance for theft or damage coverage.

4. Billing Policy for Hardware Delivery

  • If a customer delays receiving their hardware delivery, RSAWEB will not adjust the billing inception date from activation.
